The following websites are suggestions for young children (typically aged between 3 and 5 years). Where possible, try to sit with your child when they are using a computer (or perhaps have another child working with your child at the computer). Social interaction is incredibly important when using computers- there is research that shows that 'co-viewing' enhances children's learning with media. Try to allow your child to use the computer for creative expression, not just for playing drill-and-practice games. Also, remember the recommended guidelines for ‘screen time’ (this includes television, game consoles, computers, iPads) is 1-2 hours of QUALITY time per day.
